Astrid (seated) with guests at the launch of 'Crystal Dreams'. Des Ross, the Piper, entertained all with many haunting tunes on the bag pipes.

The book launch of 'Shadow's Embrace'. Astrid signing a copy of the book for a guest. The launch was held at the historic home 'Grange' - at Grange, South Australia.

Astrid is a craftworker and keen student of all things historical. Here she shows some of her works - both book and craft. Photo courtesy of The Herald Newspaper.

A rare photo of the elusive 'Senna' in her pose as Cata-Hari. Senna was rescued as a 3 week old kitten and came to Astrid at the time of the publication of her vampire-romance, 'Shadow's Embrace'. Senna means 'shadow' in Serbian. (Astrid has English language tutored migrant Serbian refugees).

Astrid with Tina at St. John's Cemetery, Kapunda. In the background the large cross denotes the gravesite of the priest rumoured to haunt the cemetery and Reformatory (the ruins in the far background). A visit to the cemetery at night confirmed that the rumours of the haunting are true!
Kapunda is reputedly the 'most haunted town in Australia'.

Astrid's den with two cats on the Persian carpet...life is so tough for felinus!
